
The editing process
Not sure how the editing process works? The following information talks you through the process from first getting in touch with me, through to receiving your fully edited writing/manuscript.

Get in touch
Send me a message through the contact form on this website. You can tell me a bit about the writing you're working on and what type of editing you are looking for.

Initial Assessment
I will email you with some basic information and a request for a 200 word sample of your writing. Based on your writing sample, I will get in touch within 48 hours with an assessment of the level of editing required and provide a quote for editing your whole piece of writing/manuscript, plus an estimate of the time required to complete the edit.

Questions and Invoicing
Based on my initial assessment, do you have any questions you wish to clarify before proceeding? Once you're happy with the information and quote provided, I will send a full invoice for editing services. Once that invoice has been paid, I will start working on your full manuscript! (Timings for editing will vary depending on the level required and other ongoing projects. I will give you an idea of timeline in your initial assessment.)

Receive your final manuscript
As soon as I've finished all the edits on your writing, I will send your full manuscript back with track changes/comments as appropriate. If there is anything you are unsure about at this point, then you are very welcome to email me to clarify specific points.
